Confidentiality and Privacy
A Neater Life provides a fully confidential service and will not divulge any information to a third party without your approval. If you kindly agree to provide testimonials/photographs they will be used only for marketing purposes and information will be anonymised.
All advice is given in good faith. A Neater Life cannot accept responsibility for actions and consequences arising from these. Best endeavours will be used to identify items of high value; however, A Neater Life is not a valuing service and is therefore unable to identify items of special value or rarity.
There is often an element of light cleaning involved in the decluttering process, however A Neater Life is unable to provide a full cleaning service.
For reasons of health and safety large or heavy items will not be moved.
If access to any area of the home or premises is restricted or unsafe, A Neater Life reserves the right to charge for lost time and expenses incurred.
Work will not be undertaken with clients that are under the influence of alcohol or drugs and charges may be made for lost time and expenses incurred.
Removal of Items
Advice is given in good faith and it is always the clients decision to accept guidance on whether to keep or dispose of belongings. Items to be removed from your premises, either for disposal or to other locations, must be at the client's discretion. Disposal will not take place without authorisation.
Recycling, donating and reusing items will be promoted wherever possible.
There is no charge for an initial consultation in the home or premises.
Charges are detailed on the 'Prices' page on this website and include costs for half day (3 hours) and full day (7 hours) services. If an hourly service is agreed, billed hours will be calculated from arrival at the home or premises, until departure, excluding breaks.
Following completion of sessions, an invoice will be issued and full payment will be due. Bank transfer or cash are preferred payment options.
Travel up to 30 miles each way (60 miles in total) from NR27 is free of charge. Travel over 60 miles may be charged at 45p per mile by prior agreement.
Both parties have the right to cancel the contract due to unavoidable circumstances. For Cancellation within 5 days of the agreed start date, A Neater Life reserves the right to incur a charge for expenses accrued to date and 50% of the contract fee.
A Neater Life holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance to the value of £1 million. As a verified member of the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO), A Neater Life adheres to the organisations code and ethics.
A current Enhanced DBS certificate is also held.
To adhere to the latest government recommendations to ensure the safety of all concerned, the following measures will be used:
* Clients must confirm that all household members are free from Covid-19 symptoms, have not experienced symptoms in the last 14 days, or tested positive for Covid-19 prior to commencement of work
* Maintenance of two metre social distance when working with clients
* Wearing a facemask if two metre social distancing cannot be achieved
* Request that indoor spaces are kept well ventilated with open windows and doors where possible
* Employ good hygiene practices including frequent hand washing and sanitising.
* Clothing will be freshly laundered for each visit, including changing into freshly laundered indoor shoes on arrival at the premises
* Provide my own face masks, hand sanitiser and towel.
